Mumbai u-14 best in West Zone

MUMBAI: Mumbai reigned supreme in the under-14 West Zone cricket tournament after they beat Maharashtra by 10 runs in the first innings at the PYC Gymkhana on Tuesday.

After Mumbai declared their innings at 288 for five, Maharashtra looked good to reach the total with Omkar Akhade (56) and Ruturaj Gaikwad (73) at the crease.

But left arm spinner Shams Mulani (3-59) spoilt Maharashtra's party, scalping the wickets of either. The rest of the bowlers took his lead to end Maharashtra's innings at 278.
